Ask, and you shall receive?

I got a message yesterday from the curator of this Treasury that I was included in it. It's a wonderful Treasury, I love the colors and it's introduced me to some other great artists on Etsy.....and check out the title. I'll be honest, I didn't think we'd end up on the front page, not because it's not a great Treasury. It is, and I love everything about it. But, well, I just didn't think it would happen. How often do you ASK to be put on the front page (or featured) and actually end up there????

But she asked, and she received. All I can say is, thanks for taking me along for the ride!

The Gift

I received a gift from my boys Monday night.

Just as I was going to bed, I saw Jupiter crouched on the floor next to my bed peering intently. So I crouched down next to him to see what had his attention.

Just as I was about to get up and leave him to it (I figured maybe he was contemplating something that I just wouldn't be able to understand), I hear my other boy, Baxter, growling. I look over, and there in his mouth, in MY bedroom was a live MOUSE. Now, I'm not afraid of mice, but I do feel that they do not belong anywhere NEAR my bedroom, or anywhere inside my house for that matter. And Baxter brought this into my room.

I wasn't happy.

Instead of killing the mouse, as I assumed a cat would do, Baxter (and Jupiter half-heartedly joing in) proceeded to play "cat and mouse". Catch the mouse, growl deeply, and then let him go. I urged them to catch the mouse and hold onto it so I could get the thing and put him outside. They looked at me like I just didn't understand the fun they were having.

So this went on all night. I couldn't catch the mouse, it was way too fast for me. I went to sleep thinking by the morning the mouse would be dead and I would just dispose of it then. When I woke up, the mouse was still alive and my boys were still having the time of their lives.

I knew it was up to me, so I caught the mouse (it was so tired by this time, poor little thing) and took him outside and let him go at the wood line.

Shenanigans.

That was Monday night.

Monday morning was much better.

I received a wonderful package in the mail from the Wind.

Thank you Michaela!

I hope your week is going well!

From the Garden

I recently was turned on to Orchard Farm by the lovely Umber Dove.

I just received my package yesterday, and oh was it awesome! I bought the
Earth Tone Body Bar and the scent is absolutely delicious (I've yet to use it, but will do so soon). They also sent me a peppermint lip balm! How did they know peppermint is one of my favorite oils???? The scent alone is sublime and the way it makes my lips tingle causes a definite case of effervescent bliss.

What an awesome shop, and very lovely people!

In my shop today are the new Garden Path earrings. Heat treated and lovingly formed into the abstract silhouette of a flower. Imagine wildflower fields. I love them tremendously and am looking forward to the day when the weather turns with the season and lying in one won't bring about frost bitten appendages.

I hope you're having a wonderful week! We're supposed to have a snow and ice storm tomorrow!!!!

xoxo,

Adrienne
